Nightmare
You disappear,
You run away,
But you say your okay.
To us,
Your mother, father, friends,
We have lost
you.
We try and convince each other,
That there was nothing we could do,
While putting on a brave face,
While not believing any of the words.
Surely there was something we could do.
Listen more. Ask more questions.
Anything at all,
Even predicting the future.
You lost yourself,
But it was our job,
to get you back to the real you.
To avoid this nightmare.
But this nightmare we must face.
We can’t change the past, all we can do is hope,
That when you find yourself,
You will come back to us.

Bliss
Early morning,

everyone is sleeping
and there’s just you.
No one to bother you, interrupt your thoughts,
Or remind you of the present.
When you can just think or not think.
When you can dream or fantasize.
Time to think of your life, friends, or family.
Escape into a book, a movie, or just the silence.
My time. Bliss.

I Crave The Me That You See
Me.
I crave the me that you see.
I have lost sight of my own eyes.
Disbelief has made my reflection compromised.
As if my head has been disconnected.
My heart, my brain, infected.
I feel like an absentee.
I crave the me that you see.
So much potential you say
Do I believe you or fade away?
How much of me am thee?
Like tasting fruit from a poisonous tree.
I try to give the third degree
I crave the me that you see
Me is turning into you.
A lost soul with no point of view,
A vision of what you craved
This is the path that you paved.
But I will be an escapee
A mirror I will come across
My poetry is like my sign of the cross.
A reflection that my mind can recognize
I will not need the sight of my eyes.
To crave the me that I read.

When the Wall Breaks
When my shirt hit the floor,
The feeling of hate was no more.
This was just what I was looking for.
A time to forget, a time to remember.
Your lips are on mine, I feel myself tremble.
Just close my eyes and live in the moment,
To act before we lose our momentum.
I don’t love, I don’t hate.
What you are is fate.
Giving me a moment,
To not torment,
But giving me fulfillment.

Heart’s Destruction
My destruction
Washing over me with every notion
Every touch and feeling
Leaves me reeling
How can it be?
That you have this effect on me.
We are not what each other needs.
I try and fight to be free.
But you pull me back
My mind under attack
With a single kiss
You’re hard to not miss
We are volatile
Making our attempts futile
The definition of crazy
Doing something over and over again till we are hazy
When I see the light
It doesn’t seem right
An attraction so deep
so hard to keep
I guess with love
There is so much more than the above.

Living Fear
Fear
What the human race is never short of.
Emotion that is consistent
Among races, ages and time.
What makes it thrive
Through so many lives?
Bodies riddled with
Fast paced hearts,
And Sweaty palms.
Automatically choosing to give into the feeling
That swallows us so easily.
Are we to believe that this has to be?
You only live once
Can only be if we truly see
What fear has to be to be free.
We preach about taking charge
And letting be.
But we can only be if we are not
Constantly fleeing.
But if fear is the way to a new beginning
Trusting that our fleeing can be deceiving
That it’s our unconscious way of leading
To the life we should be living.
Then maybe our fearing is relieving.

Disbelief: When there is nothing else to say
With every passing year
I take a deep breath
In with the knowledge that nothing has changed
And Out with the disbelief.

Love is Beginning
A girl with a crush
Feeling the heart rush
Conversations so hush
They make her flush
She tells her thoughts ‘shush!’
Their hands brush
She wants to gush
His smile makes her blush.
Do you think he has a crush?

Glorious Sun
Under the glorious sun
try and find the fun
With so little a stake
It’s not hard to partake
Feel the heat on your skin
It’s not hard to pin
Everything is so alive
Under the big blue sky
Find some water to splash
Go out with a bash
Find some children that laugh
Climb a tree high as a giraffe
When the sun is out shining
Don’t leave yourself pining
For the night will come calling
The sun will start falling.
